I don’t think they’re impassive, more like calm. Generally they seem very curious about people, I love the way they stare. There’s one very skittish cow in a field near us, which runs when anyone approaches. These Hallikar cows have a lot of character. My favourites!
The cows in Gokarn can stare you down! They are short and have quite a personality. The ones here look calm but mean you-go-your-way-while-i- topple-a-cart-or-two. But yes, overall I like cows. And calves.

Thought as much. Their faces are so impassive generally I feel. Only their eyes tell us what they think of our ‘antics’!
