First fruits

Last year we got our first crop of mangoes.img-20160518-wa0004

And now suddenly, here’s our first pomegranate.first-pomegranate

Isn’t that the most beautiful sight, the first fruit on a young tree? This pomegranate isn’t as modest as it looks, though – it gatecrashed my last post. I don’t know how that happened. A lot of aspects of WordPress are pretty mysterious to me, and the display pic (or the absence of one) on each post baffles me completely. The only thing I could do was to give this blushing beauty a legitimate post of its own. Welcome, Punica granatum. Make yourself at home.

And welcome to you too, first lemons! I adore your glorious citrussy smell and your cute little collars.
